Honestly, I haven’t been able to read much in the three months that have went by. But, I’m focused on leveling up my reading game!
Here’s a (hopefully realistic) list of books that I am looking forward to reading in April:
1. ‘Nice Try, Afton’ by Brent Jones
This is the third book in the Afton Morrison series and oh boy, did I love the first two! If you’ve read my reviews of the first two books (‘Go Home, Afton’ and ‘See You Soon, Afton’), you already know how much I love them! Although, I would love to read the fourth book this month I don’t know if I’ll be able to, considering the huge pile that I have. But, I will try for sure!
2. ‘Caraval’ by Stephanie Garber
I started reading this one on April 1 and am buddy reading with Anacskie! I have a feeling that I am going to love this book. Housing a lot of magic, this book is proving to be an amazing read!
3. ‘Jane Eyre’ by Charlotte Brontë
This one has been on my list for long. I recently read about the Brontë sisters, their lives and histories. Indeed, I cannot wait to read their books and understand how different or similar their writing styles were.
4. ‘Persuasion’ By Jane Austen
I’ve been planning to read this one since forever but, now it’s time. Being the Janeite I am, I already know I am going to love it. Have you read any Jane Austen books?
5. ‘The Mysteries Of Udolpho’ By Ann Ward Radcliffe
I got to know about this book because of its mention in ‘Northanger Abbey’ by Jane Austen. ‘Northanger Abbey’ is a gothic fiction book and so is this one. So excited to dive into it!
6. ‘The Picture Of Dorian Gray’ by Oscar Wilde
I started this book not long back and am on chapter 3. I am loving it so far and hope to finish it soon this month! I am truly happy to have a bunch of classics on this list.
I do have a few more books on my radar this month but these 5 are the must-reads! Anyway, you’ll know about what I read this month when I post a wrap-up in May. I might even post reading updates in a few days!
What are you planning to read this month? Any book that you have to make sure you read in April? Let me know in the comments section below!
