Shine Through, Anyway

Shine Through, Anyway
By Meher Gandhi

The winds that crash you,
Forget you’re the fierce sea,
Forget you’re the calming moon,
Forget you’re the fire hue.

The volcano that bashes,
Forgets you’re the fawkes,
That was born in but,
Never belonged to the ashes.

You’re more than the dead leaves,
That the eagle sees,
Much more than the insignificant breeze,
That no one feels.

You’re the light that shines through,
Even when left deep into,
The seas impenetrable,
And all the forests untraceable.

Your light finds,
The treasure beneath,
Every land and every sea,
All the gloom and all the glee.

The day ends,
But never does your fight.
The night begins,
But never dims your light.

Hello to all the readers and writers out here! I am Meher Gandhi. I am a dreamer and a wanderer, dreaming of a world made of words and wandering in a land of my own scribblings. I am constantly scribbling my reveries and all the secrets I unearth while living, sometimes it’s on paper, most of the times, it’s mental notes. WordPress is a great platform to showcase the art of writing be it on the spot or else. I am loving this work of writing blogs, reading your blogs, commenting on them, receiving the likes, comments and valuable suggestions. It is all so fun! I am a teenager who loves to read and write. I am a positive person and so are my scribblings. If you want to connect with me then, head over to the contact page in the “my pages” section! Would you like to join me in for a walk in my land of scribblings? With love, Meher.

  2. Wow. I rarely do it, but I read this poem twice. I just couldn’t help it.
And I’m not lying when I say that this is one of the best inspirational poems I’ve ever read. I mean, it’s totally up there with If by John Greenleaf Winter, for when I just want to quit, and then something motivates me. If was one such poem, and now this is too. Honestly.
