I read this absolutely wonderful book as an audiobook which Ellen herself narrates and I feel like listening to the audiobook will give you a much better feel of it than reading the physical copy. I loved listening to it so so SO much! It’s such a light-hearted, fun book which talks about what not! I laughed too many times while reading the book and I’m so very glad I picked it up!

Obviously, you cannot expect this book written by Ellen to talk about something too serious. I knew it was going to be one which would make me laugh my head off. And it surely was like it. According to me, it’s a book meant for you who are tired of a monotonous schedule. It is for you who’d like to relax for a while or you who’d like to just jump onto your bed with some comfies on. It’s also for you who just wants to get some fun reading going on. It’s for everyone who loves Ellen!

Why I’d recommend listening to the audiobook is because in some chapters, the audiobook includes sound effects, too. For example, if she’s talking about rain, you could hear the raindrops in the background. I feel like it just enlightens the reading experience even more.

Seriously…I’m Kidding is a book which talks about various things. Things like motivation and inspiration come through, too. But none the less, mostly all the chapters talk about Ellen’s hilarious view points on different matters. You need to read the book to know some life-saving tips which Ellen hopes would save you from getting into trouble (like knowing the art behind gifting, how to become a billionaire, and more). Well, of course, she’s kidding throughout the book. While my favourite chapters from the book are chapters 49 and 50, I loved reading all!

There is no specific story followed throughout the book. The chapters are all different from each other and have no connection. As I said it’s a histerical insight to Ellen’s experiences and her opinions. If you’re looking for a book with many puns and too many lines to make you laugh hard then, this book is made for you! Thank you, Ellen for creating this master-piece!

I have many favourite lines from the book!

Laugh. Laugh as much as you can. Laugh until you cry. Cry until you laugh. Keep doing it even if people are passing you on the street saying, “I can’t tell if that person is laughing or crying, but either way they seem crazy, let’s walk faster.”

~Ellen DeGeneres, Seriously…I’m Kidding
