This Moment

This moment is inexplicably ecstatic.
This moment I am totally me.
This moment I am proudly fanatic.
This moment I exist free.

This moment is taking me to the highest peaks,
Making me shout over my lungs,
Just so I can hear the echo loud and unbleak,
Louder while I’m still free and young.

This moment is driving me crazy.
It’s letting me come out of everything hazy,
Making me want to fly with the sparrows,
This moment is mine, not borrowed.

This moment, I jump to touch the sky,
Higher, higher, higher,
Until my lungs give out,
And my feet tire.

This moment I dance the crazy dance,
My soul in tandem with my limbs.
This moment I know the music won’t stop at any chance,
How can it when my soul is what sings?

This moment I know I won’t fall,
For my zest is over the brim,
Even if the thrust pulls me down,
And everything becomes dim.

This moment, I reach out,
For everything good I see around.
This moment is what I’ll savour.
This moment I’ll live forever.
