On A Wonderful Day

Wondrous how everything faded,

But, the brightest colour remained,

Just as bright, just as sharp,

The same hue, the same shade.

 

How can I ever forget,

The intricacies of time,

And the love that was set,

With all the things that never rhymed?

 

I remember the sudden empowerment,

And how it all started,

As an unrealistic abstract idea,

On a wonderful day.

 

And now, when everything’s ruined beyond repair;

No chances, no more anymore,

If only I could float in air,

Not thinking about the never-ending despair.

 

The rainbow above beams at me.

The ground beneath lies in peace.

The leaves rustle and flee.

For a moment, the only thing that sways me is the cool breeze.

 

Today once more, is a wonderful day,

And an ‘unrealistic abstract’ idea hits me again.

Maybe, this is how it’ll start and not go in vain,

For the ‘sudden empowerment’ has come like a hurricane.
